The Firgarth Guest House is situated between Ambleside and Bowness. All rooms have a flat-screen TV/DVD player and an iPod dock. Free private parking is provided. A full English breakfast is available and is cooked to order. The guest lounge has games and books, including guides with information on local walks and activities. Firgarth Guest House is just 10 minutes’ walk from Windermere Railway Station and 500 metres from Lake Windermere itself. The World of Beatrix Potter Museum and the town centre are 1.6 miles away and the Windermere Ferry is a 7-minute drive away.

Check-In Information: Please note that the guest house is regretfully unable to accept any arrivals after 20:00. Bookings for 2 rooms or more cannot be accepted. Single sex groups are also not accepted. Minimum Stays: Please note that when booking there is a minimum stay of 2 nights, and 3 nights during public holidays. Payment Information: The guest house does not accept American Express cards. Smoking: Please note that The Firgarth has a strict non-smoking policy. Guests will be asked to vacate the room immediately if evidence of smoking is found, and a minimum charge of GBP 200.00 will be applied to the credit/debit card used to make the reservation, to cover all additional cleaning and dry cleaning costs. Please note that the Firgarth is a guest house and, whilst high standards are offered, it is important to remember that it is not a hotel.
