Located just 2 km from Jigokudani Monkey Park, Jinpyokaku offers a luxurious Japanese-style hot springs experience. A variety of baths, exquisite Japanese cuisine and serene Japanese-style rooms are featured. Free shuttle to/from Yudanaka Train Station is available. This hotel was selected as one of the Best Inns in Japan by TripAdvisor Travelers' Choice Award 2015. Rooms are decorated in Japan’s gracefully minimalist style and feature Japanese-style futon bedding on a tatami (woven-straw) floor. All include a flat-screen TV, refrigerator and en suite bathroom with a spa bath that can be filled with natural hot-spring water. Boasting a 110-year history of warm hospitality, Jinpyokaku has hosted the Japanese emperor and several famous novelists. An exhibit room featuring historical Japanese writings is located at the hotel, and handmade decorations and fabrics are also featured. Women-only and mixed-sex hot-springs baths are offered. Traditional kaiseki (multi-course) dining is served in Jinpyokaku Ryokan’s dining room, featuring Shinshu beef and other delicacies. Breakfast and dinner are provided for all guests. Ryokan Jinpyokaku is located next to Kamibayashi Bus Stop, a 10-minute ride from Yudanaka Train Station. A shuttle from Yudanaka Station to the hotel can be booked. Jigokudani Monkey Park is 2 km from the hotel, and the Shiga-Kogen ski and hiking area is a 30-minute drive.

Guests must inform the property by 21:00 (Japan time) the day before their arrival date if they wish to receive pick-up service. To use the hotel's free shuttle, a reservation must be made at the time of booking. The shuttle runs from the station between 14:30 and 17:30. From the hotel it's available between 09:00 and 11:00. All hot-springs baths are open from 15:00 to 09:00. Guests with a tattoo may not be permitted to enter public bathing areas and other public facilities. For a vegetarian meal, a reservation is required in advance.
