YHA Holly How offers dormitory-style accommodation in Coniston, a 10-minute drive from Hawkshead, Ambleside. It has a games room, a restaurant serving evening meals, and offers free parking on site. Guests can go walking, cycling, and canoeing in the surrounding area, and there are mountains nearby. There are scenic trails for mountain biking, as well as opportunities for sailing. The Ruskin Museum is a 10-minute walk from YHA Holly How, and it is less than half a mile to the centre of Coniston. Coniston Water is 8 minutes’ drive from the building.

Evening meals will not available to purchase at the hostel between 01 November 2016 and 10 February 2017. All guests must show a valid photo ID upon check-in. Driver’s license, passport, student ID or similarly recognised national identity cards are accepted. Group bookings: All bookings for 17 people or more cannot be accepted by YHA. Please note that towels are not included in the room rate. Guests can hire them at the property or bring their own. The majority of rooms contain bunk beds.
