Quick description

On the shores of Lough Corrib, Portarra Lodge offers rooms with private bathrooms, full Irish breakfasts, and trout fishing on the lake. Free bike hire is available, and Galway is 20 minutes away by car. Free parking is available at the lodge, and numerous walking and cycling routes are located near to the lodge, with maps available for guests. Portarra Lodge breeds its own Connemara Ponies which can be visited on-site, and Bearna Golf Club is 15 minutes’ drive away. The traditionally furnished rooms at the lodge each include a TV for guests, along with free tea and coffee. Bathrooms also include a hairdryer, and some rooms enjoy beautiful lake views. A spacious lounge with views of Lough Corrib available for guests to relax in, along with its own piano and an open fire.
