Informace o The Rock Camp

Situated in the Beidha area, The Rock Camp offers guests a traditional Bedouin experience. It has shared tents for meals and a large campfire, where guests can relax in the evening. The Rock camp is located in Beidha area, 14 km north of Petra’s archaeological site.The traditional tents are fitted with beds and are decorated in either soft, white tones or bold colours. Bathroom facilities are shared. The 24-hour staff at the camp can organize a variety of tours, including desert hikes and horse riding, on request. Guests can also dress up as Bedouins or get a Henna tattoo. Traditional Bedouin-style dishes are served on request, including Zarb and Shraak. Fresh, cardamom-spiced coffee is also available.

Some nationalities can get an entry permit stamped in their passport upon arrival at the airport. Please check your visa requirements before traveling. Please note that all activities, transportation and meals should be booked 48 hours in advance. Please use the Special Requests Box during the booking process. Guests should note there are no shops in the camp's area. Any goods needed by the guests should be brought with them. Directions: - 14 km north of Petra’s archaeological site - Head north from Petra’s Visitors’ Centre towards Beda - Pass the Bdoul Housing - About 8.5 km, turn right for 150 metres and then left following Wadi Araba (not towards Ash Shawbak) - About 3.5 km, continue on the right leg of the Y-junction along a narrow winding road for about 750 metres - Going off-road to the right (without the need for a 4x4 vehicle), the camp is located after 500 metres Transportation to and from Petra’s archaeological site is provided with an extra charge.
