Informace o Knysna Houseboats

Knysna Houseboats are private self-drive boats that are found at Thesen Islands, in Knysna. This fully equipped floating accommodation offers panoramic views from the spacious roof-top sun deck. Each boat is fitted with light wood furnishings and navy blue and white décor. The fully equipped kitchen includes a stove, oven and fridge. Bathroom facilities on Knysna Houseboats include a shower, basin and a chemical toilet. They also offer 24-hour access to the ablutions at their charter base in Thesen´s Harbour Town. Barbeque facilities are available in the lounge area at the back of the boat, from where you can catch your own dinner as well. An assorted catering menu including beverages, picnic baskets and barbecue packs are available. Room service on the lagoon is also on offer. On arrival, guests will receive a short skipper course by the staff and get issued with a temporary skipper’s licence for the duration of their stay. Fishing rods, towels and towable tubes are available to rent. The boats are equipped with all safety equipment and life jackets. Valet boat parking is offered by the staff between sunrise and sunset. The town of Knysna is a 20-minute walk away and the George Airport is 73 km from Thesen Islands.

No skipper’s license or experience is required to operate these boats. The owners and staff will give you a short skipper’s course and issue you with a temporary skipper’s license for the duration of your stay. Please note that on check-in, the guest will receive 2x 25L tanks of fuel. On check out, the tanks will be refueled and the guests will pay for the used fuel. Only petrol from Knysna Houseboats may be used.
