Restaurant und Appartement "Zur Sonne" is situated in the Ötztal Valley, 50 metres from the Matau Ski Lift with ski-to-door access. The property features a restaurant serving traditional Austrian dishes, which can be served out on the terrace. Apartments come with a fully equipped kitchen, seating area and a TV. Freshly baked bread rolls are available on request. Final cleaning fees are included in the room rate. Restaurant und Appartement "Zur Sonne" also has a garden with deck chairs, barbecue facilities and a heated ski storage area. Cross-country skiing is possible from the guest house. There is a children’s playground 50 metres away while grocery shops can be found in the centre of the village, a 2-minute walk away. There is an outdoor swimming lake in Umhausen, 7 km away. From 1 December 2016 to 30 April 2017 the Niederthai Card is included in the price offering free use of all lifts in Niederthai, cross-country skiing tracks, sledge tracks, a Stuibenfall lantern hike, a cross-country skiing lesson, biathlon once per person and the use of the public ski bus.
