The bright and spacious bedrooms each have a TV and an en suite bathroom with a hairdryer. All rooms feature tea/coffee facilities and some have wonderful sea views. Guests can enjoy a hearty full English breakfast with produce from local butchers and bakers, while lighter options are also available. In season there is a coffee shop which serves light lunches and indulgent cakes from a large garden terrace overlooking the sea. Gleneagles Guest House is a Grade II listed building within Southend’s tranquil conservation area and until 2001 it operated as a hotel. There is free public parking outside the property and on adjacent roads. The High Street, seafront and Adventure Island are just a 5-minute walk away.

Please note that limited free parking is available on site, with free street parking 200 metres away. Parking in the pay and display bays immediately outside the guesthouse at reduced rates is available with a GBP 5 permit obtainable from reception and valid for 24 hours. For guests arriving after 18:00 and departing before 09:00 there is no charge (11:00 Sundays). Please note that American Express is not accepted at this accommodation.
