Casal do Vulcão is a rustic country house, sited within 1 km of the Capelinhos Volcano. The Azorian country house is in the Faial Island and features an outdoor swimming pool and a garden. The Casal’s accommodation is divided into studios and houses. The studio features air conditioning, bathroom, free WiFi and satellite TV. The houses all have the same facilities, plus a fully-equipped kitchen or kitchenette, hot tub, sofa and dining area. Some houses also boast a pool view. Guests are welcome to prepare meals at their own leisure in the units’ full kitchen or kitchenette. The Horta city centre is 18 km away, and features a variety of restaurants serving typical Azorean cuisine. The nearby volcano, which was first found active in 1957, is the most iconic area attraction. It´s a 30-minute drive to the Faial Botanical Gardens, and its lush green areas. The Casal’s natural surroundings also offer many scenic tour opportunities for guests, either by foot or by bicycle. It is a 30-minute drive to the 18th century Horta Jesuit College.
